AIIA Organises Bike Rally Ahead of Ayurveda Day 2025 to Promote Health and Sustainability

Breaking News

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, organised a bike rally on 17 September 2025 as part of the celebrations for Ayurveda Day 2025. Themed “Ayurveda for People & Planet”, the initiative highlighted Ayurveda’s role in promoting holistic health and ecological balance.

Rally for Health and Environment

The rally was flagged off from the AIIA campus by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director, AIIA. The event witnessed participation from Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajgopala, former Director (I/C), along with Heads of Departments, faculty members, postgraduate and Ph.D. scholars, and staff members.

Participants rode from the AIIA campus to the Ministry of Ayush, carrying flags emblazoned with the Ayurveda Day logo and the campaign theme. The symbolic ride reflected the AIIA fraternity’s shared commitment to preventive healthcare and sustainable living.

Voices of Inspiration

Speaking at the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati remarked that the rally embodies Ayurveda’s timeless message of balance — promoting harmony within the individual and with the environment. He emphasized that such initiatives aim to encourage youth and citizens to adopt Ayurveda as a sustainable and holistic lifestyle choice.

Ayurveda Day 2025 and Its Significance

This year, Ayurveda Day will be observed nationwide on 23 September 2025, a date aligned with the autumnal equinox. The equinox, symbolising natural balance, mirrors the core principle of Ayurveda — equilibrium of body, mind, and environment.

The bike rally acted as a precursor to these celebrations and set the stage for nationwide observances that focus on Ayurveda’s contemporary relevance in global wellness practices.

Commitment to Awareness and Integration

The Ministry of Ayush and AIIA continue their efforts in expanding Ayurveda’s reach through outreach programmes, public awareness campaigns, and collaborations. Their goal is to integrate Ayurveda with modern healthcare, while simultaneously promoting sustainable practices that resonate with ecological well-being.

Conclusion

The Ayurveda Day bike rally by AIIA successfully merged the messages of preventive healthcare and environmental stewardship. By engaging youth and society through symbolic action, AIIA reaffirmed Ayurveda’s capacity to guide individuals and communities towards health, sustainability, and balance with nature.
