New Delhi: The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, successfully organized three intensive six-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes for Ayurveda teachers from September 8–13, 2025, under the Ayurgyan Scheme of the Ministry of Ayush. The CME series, coordinated with the Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), focused on strengthening the technical and pedagogical capacity of Ayurveda faculty nationwide.
Capacity Building and Advanced Training
The CME programmes, hosted by the Departments of Kriya Sharira, Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, and Swasthavritta & Yoga, aimed to enhance capacity building, academic advancement, and professional development for Ayurveda educators. Each department curated specialized modules integrating traditional knowledge with modern scientific tools.

Kriya Sharira: 30 teachers were trained by 12 experts through lectures covering Oja, Agni, Mana, Indriya, Prakriti, Nidra, bioinformatics, Nadi assessment, cardiorespiratory systems, and innovative teaching methods. The programme highlighted advanced research tools like multi-omics and transcriptome analysis to blend classical Ayurvedic understanding with contemporary analytics.

Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana: Of 208 registrations from 20 states, 30 participants were shortlisted. Fourteen experts discussed drug standardization, safety and efficacy evaluation, regulatory frameworks, Ayurvedic cosmetics, molecular simulation, and functional characterization, aligning Ayurvedic drug development with modern science and regulations.

Swasthavritta & Yoga: From 136 registrations across 20 states, 30 teachers were selected to learn from over 20 specialists from AIIMS, NIFTEM, MDNIY, and others. Sessions spanned Ayurvedic dietetics, sleep science, Dinacharya, Ritucharya, yoga practices, stress management, biomedical waste management, and integration with national health programs, reinforcing Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam by linking tradition with current scientific evidence.
Integration of Traditional and Modern Pedagogy: AIIA
The CME initiative marked a significant step in interdisciplinary learning, weaving together traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with cutting-edge scientific research. Over 60 eminent experts delivered lectures, ensuring comprehensive exposure to advanced teaching methods, clinical practices, and research innovations in Ayurveda education.
