The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), led by Director Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, recently welcomed Prof. Bejon Kumar Misra, Chairman of the Core Group of Experts for Insurance, Ministry of Ayush, to discuss strategies to expand insurance coverage and policy implementation for the Ayush sector. This initiative aims to broaden accessibility and integrate traditional medicine systems with mainstream healthcare.

Key Developments and Project Management Unit

The meeting coincided with the inauguration of the Project Management Unit (PMU) for Ayush Insurance-related matters at AIIA by Union Minister of State for Ayush Shri Prataprao Jadhav. Prof. Prajapati outlined the PMU’s role in providing a transparent, efficient environment for implementing insurance schemes, ensuring easier public access to relevant information and benefits under the Ayush insurance framework.



Academic and Research Partnerships

Prof. Prajapati also welcomed Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad, to explore collaborative research and academic exchanges aimed at strengthening evidence-based practices within Ayurveda.
