Amit Shah Criticizes AAP in Delhi Rally: Urges Voters to “Sweep” Party with Broom

Voters will cast their ballots in the Delhi assembly elections on February 5

Breaking News

In a recent rally in Delhi’s Mustafabad assembly constituency, Union Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), urging voters to “sweep” the party out of power in the upcoming Delhi elections. Shah mocked AAP by using the party’s own symbol – the broom – to suggest that Delhi’s residents should rid the city of what he called a “3G government” led by AAP. The BJP leader accused AAP of being involved in corruption, sheltering illegal immigrants, and fostering a regime riddled with scams.

Shah described the AAP government as a “3G” administration, with each “G” representing an aspect of the party’s alleged wrongdoing. He explained that the first G represents a “Ghotala wali sarkar” (a government involved in scams), the second stands for a “Ghuspaithiyon ko panah dene wali sarkar” (a government that shelters intruders), and the third refers to a “Ghaple karne wali sarkar” (a government engaging in corruption). He specifically raised concerns about the issue of illegal immigrants in Delhi, framing it as a key issue in the election.

During the rally, Shah emphasized that AAP leaders were aware of the growing public discontent and the wave of opposition against their governance. “The people of Delhi are going to sweep AAP out with a broom this time,” Shah said, making a direct reference to the party’s electoral symbol. He further urged voters to ensure that the “3G government” does not continue, signaling that it was time for a change.

Shah also warned voters about the possible return of those responsible for the Delhi riots, urging them to make the right choice between those who “threw Delhi into riots” and those who “saved” the city. His comments aimed to remind the audience of the BJP’s narrative surrounding the riots and contrast it with AAP’s record.

In a separate incident, the AAP accused someone of assaulting its MLA Mohinder Goyal in Rohini, fueling tensions between the two parties. AAP’s national convener, Arvind Kejriwal, condemned the attack, accusing the BJP of using violence as a political tool. Kejriwal expressed his outrage over Goyal’s condition, saying, “Seeing Mohinder Goyal in this condition makes me want to cry. The people of Delhi do not support this politics of hooliganism. The BJP is hooliganism, and the police are protecting them.”

Voters will cast their ballots in the Delhi assembly elections on February 5, and officials will declare the results on February 8. The political atmosphere in Delhi is heating up as both the BJP and AAP gear up for a fierce battle for the capital’s governance.
