Fans of Anushka Shetty have something to look forward to as her much-anticipated film Ghaati now has an official release date. The film will hit theaters worldwide on April 18, 2025, the makers announced on Sunday.
The announcement was made via X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by an intense new poster and the caption, “The Queen, at her best, will reign at the box office. #Ghaati GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 18th APRIL, 2025.” The film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati promises to showcase Anushka Shetty in an entirely new and compelling avatar. Earlier this year, the makers unveiled a powerful first-look poster of the actress, featuring her with a pipe and intense expressions, further heightening the film’s intrigue.
The poster carried the tagline “Victim, criminal, legend” and celebrated Anushka’s birthday with a special video release revealing her look.
This marks Anushka’s second collaboration with Krish, following their successful 2010 film Vedam. Fans can expect a gripping story with the actress in a never-seen-before role, adding to the excitement around this project.
In addition to Ghaati, Anushka Shetty is also gearing up for her Malayalam debut in the upcoming film Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, directed by Rojin Thomas. The film, which stars Jayasurya Jayan alongside Anushka, introduces her as Nila, a weaver. The teaser for Kathanar was released on Anushka’s birthday, teasing her magical character and exciting fans about her entry into Malayalam cinema.
Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner Sree Gokulam Movies, Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer also features Prabhu Deva and Vineeth in key roles. The film is expected to add another remarkable chapter to Anushka Shetty’s already impressive career.
