Conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair has ignited a social media firestorm by claiming Elon Musk is the father of her five-month-old child. While St.
Clair has provided details about their alleged relationship, Musk has offered a curt “Whoa” in response to accusations that St. Clair plotted to “ensnare” him.
St. Clair’s Announcement
On Friday, February 15, 2025, Ashley St. Clair, 26, took to X, the platform owned by Musk, to announce the birth of her child. “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote.
She stated her reason for the delayed announcement was to protect the child’s privacy but claimed the media was about to break the story.
Claims of Secrecy and Harassment
St. Clair told the New York Post she was told to keep the baby a “secret forever”. She said she and Musk met at X HQ after he “slid into her DMs” when she was 24 years old.
She also alleges she’s been harassed online and in person by Musk’s supporters, even receiving threats against her toddler from a previous relationship.
Musk’s Response: A Cryptic “Whoa”
Instead of directly addressing St. Clair’s claims, Musk, 52, responded to a post accusing St. Clair of plotting to have his child for years.
His single-word response, “Whoa,” has been interpreted as dismissive and has drawn criticism.
St. Clair fired back at Musk, accusing him of ignoring her private messages and engaging with online smears. “Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days, and you have not responded,” she reportedly wrote in a now-deleted comment.
The Quest for Acknowledgement
St. Clair’s representative, Brian Glicklich, stated that St. Clair and Musk “have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time”.
He expressed disappointment that a tabloid reporter made it impossible to complete that process confidentially. He awaits Musk’s public acknowledgement of his parental role.
