Addressing the media, Atishi stated, “In the last three days, I have received several complaints about power cuts in Delhi. Does this indicate the collapse of the power sector within just three days? It clearly shows that under Arvind Kejriwal’s government, the AAP administration was closely monitoring and supervising the electricity infrastructure on a day-to-day basis.”
Atishi emphasized that during the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) decade-long governance, significant improvements were made in Delhi’s infrastructure, education, and healthcare sectors. The party was also known for providing free water and electricity to underprivileged residents. She expressed concern that the recent power outages might signal a regression in these advancements under BJP’s administration.
The BJP’s recent electoral success marked its return to power in Delhi after 27 years, securing 48 out of 70 assembly seats. This victory ended AAP’s ten-year tenure, during which the party had implemented various welfare schemes aimed at improving the quality of life for Delhi’s residents.
