Breaking News

New Delhi: The Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Ayush, is set to organise its landmark 30th National Seminar on the theme “Management of Illness & Wellness in Paediatrics through Ayurveda” on 18th – 19th August 2025 at the Scope Complex Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. This national platform will bring together Ayurvedic scholars, practitioners, researchers, and students to deliberate on holistic approaches that integrate traditional wisdom with contemporary healthcare practices in strengthening child health.

Focus on Holistic Child Healthcare

The two-day seminar aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s emphasis on traditional systems of medicine as a foundation for a healthier society. Highlighting the significance of Ayurveda, the Prime Minister has often reiterated that Ayush represents not just a system of treatment but a holistic approach to life—essential for ensuring wellness, particularly among children who represent the nation’s future.

Union Minister of Ayush and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare (Independent Charge), Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, stressed Ayurvedic’s unique role in nurturing paediatric health. He described the seminar as a timely initiative to underscore Ayurveda’s dual focus on managing illness and promoting wellness in children, adding that the deliberations would enrich the knowledge and skills of practitioners, researchers, and students across India.

Academic Exchange & Expert Participation

The seminar will be graced by eminent leaders of Ayurveda including Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush and Padma Shri awardee, who noted that the gathering will serve as a valuable opportunity to foster new perspectives, evidence-based practices, and collaborative research. He further remarked that such platforms bridge classical Ayurvedic wisdom with modern paediatric healthcare needs.

Adding further stature to the seminar will be Vaidya Devinder Triguna, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee, and President of RAV’s Governing Body, who is expected to address participants on Ayurveda’s role in paediatric well-being.

Key Highlights of the Seminar

  • Scientific Research Paper Presentations on Ayurveda’s role in paediatric illness and wellness.

  • Poster Presentations by young Ayurveda scholars and practitioners.

  • Interactive Sessions on preventive and promotive healthcare in children.

  • Souvenir and Seminar Kits for registered participants.

  • Credit Points and Participation Certificates for delegates.

With this mix of academic rigour and practical insights, the seminar is designed to create greater awareness, innovation, and collaboration in paediatric Ayurveda.

Conclusion

Marking its 30th milestone, the National Seminar of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth promises to reaffirm Ayurvedic as a holistic, child-centred healthcare system, capable of addressing both preventive and curative dimensions. By combining ancient knowledge with growing research evidence, it seeks to re-establish Ayurveda as a cornerstone of paediatric wellness and a vital contributor to India’s national healthcare framework.
