New Delhi: Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, is all set to launch the nationwide Special Campaign 5.0 starting from 2nd October 2025. The campaign aims to promote cleanliness, administrative efficiency, and sustainable practices in line with the Government of India’s vision. Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal, CMD of BCCL, led a thorough review meeting on 1st October 2025 to evaluate the company’s readiness and planned activities.

The CMD emphasized the importance of proactive participation from all Areas and Departments to ensure the campaign’s success and strong community involvement. The campaign also received positive feedback from the Secretary (Coal), Ministry of Coal, who appreciated BCCL’s roadmap and encouraged innovative, replicable best practices among all PSU units.

Inter-Area and HQ Cleanliness Competition: A competitive drive across BCCL’s Areas and Headquarters will recognize the top three offices for their exemplary cleanliness efforts with felicitation from the CMD.

Nukkad Natak Awareness Drives: Street plays will be conducted at major intersections in Dhanbad to raise social awareness about cleanliness and environmental responsibility.

‘Waste to Wealth’ Projects: Innovative initiatives at the Area level will convert waste materials into useful products, supporting sustainability and circular economy principles.

Redistribution of Refurbished Electronics: Functional but outdated electronic devices like PCs, UPS, and printers will be refurbished and donated to underprivileged communities, especially schools and community centers.

Awareness Programs for Schools: Educational sessions will be organized in schools throughout Dhanbad to cultivate clean habits and civic responsibility among children from a young age.
