In a shocking turn of events, the Bengaluru techie, Atul Subash, whose tragic suicide case has garnered national attention, has led to the arrest of his wife, Nikita Singhania, her mother, Visha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania. The trio has been apprehended on charges of abetment to suicide and is currently in judicial custody.
The Bengaluru Police, who have been diligently investigating the case, believe that Subash was driven to take his own life due to relentless harassment and extortion by his wife and her family. The victim had alleged that his wife’s family had demanded a staggering sum of Rs 3 crore to withdraw ongoing legal proceedings related to divorce and child custody. Additionally, they had demanded Rs 30 lakh for visitation rights to his son.
The police investigation has unearthed a distressing picture of the mental torment endured by Subash. He had penned a heart-wrenching suicide note and recorded a video detailing the ordeal he had faced at the hands of his wife and her family. These documents, along with a poignant placard hung in his home, have further solidified the allegations against the accused.
Following the discovery of Subash’s tragic demise on December 9th, the Bengaluru Police swiftly initiated a thorough investigation. Two dedicated teams were formed to gather evidence and track down the accused. After meticulously examining the available information, the police issued notices to Nikita Singhania and her family members, urging them to cooperate with the investigation.
To ensure a comprehensive probe, a team of Bengaluru Police officers traveled to Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, the native place of the accused, to gather crucial evidence and interrogate potential witnesses.
