New Delhi : In a delightful homecoming of sorts, actors Aasif Sheikh and Rohitashv Gour, beloved for their roles in the popular TV sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, made a memorable appearance at the famed Luv Kush Ramlila, held at the historic Lal Quila in New Delhi. Their presence added extra charm to the annual festivities, with the duo receiving an enthusiastic welcome from fans and event-goers.
Aasif Sheikh, a Delhi native and an alumnus of Khalsa College, couldn’t contain his excitement about returning to his roots. Reflecting on the occasion, he said, “Coming back to Delhi is always like coming home. The Ramlila holds a special place in my heart, as I grew up watching it. Being here now as a guest of honor feels surreal.” Despite adhering to a disciplined diet, Aasif indulged in some of Delhi’s famous street food, savouring the irresistible flavours of chhole bhature and other local delicacies.
For Rohitashv Gour, the visit was equally nostalgic, bringing back fond memories of his time in the capital. Describing the electrifying atmosphere, he remarked, “The energy of the crowd was incredible. It reminded me of my days at the National School of Drama. Celebrating the Luv Kush Ramlila alongside Aasif Ji has made this experience all the more meaningful.”
The actors embraced the festive spirit, mingling with fans and soaking in the cultural heritage of the city. Rohitashv, once a dedicated student with little time for distractions, shared that Aasif had become his guide, helping him rediscover the vibrant traditions of Delhi that he had missed out on during his academic years.
