Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Launches ‘Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak’ App for Reporting Road Issues

Citizens Empowered to Report Poor Road Conditions Across Rural Bihar

Breaking News

BIHAR: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recently launched a new mobile application called ‘Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak,’ designed to enable citizens to directly report poor road conditions, particularly in rural areas. The initiative aims to improve road maintenance and ensure timely resolution of complaints from the public.

Launched at the CM’s official residence on December 19, 2024, the app is part of the state’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure. Bihar’s Rural Works Minister Ashok Choudhary and Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena were also present at the event. The app offers a platform for citizens to notify the government about road issues such as potholes, damage, and other necessary repairs.

Key Features of the ‘Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak’ App:

  1. User-Friendly Interface: The app features an easy-to-use interface, allowing users to report issues on rural roads across Bihar, which spans over 63,000 kilometers. Citizens can simply select the affected area, upload pictures, and submit their complaint to the relevant authorities.
  2. Transparency in Road Maintenance: After a complaint is submitted, the app ensures accountability by tracking the status of the reported issue. Once resolved, the concerned officer uploads a photograph of the repaired road, ensuring transparency and fostering trust between the government and the public.
  3. Improved Public Engagement: By using the app, citizens can directly contribute to improving road conditions, which will help the authorities prioritize and expedite repairs based on real-time feedback.

Availability and Impact:

The ‘Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak’ app is available for download on the Google Play Store. The government hopes this digital tool will not only streamline the complaint resolution process but also foster a sense of ownership among citizens in ensuring better road infrastructure. Through this initiative, Bihar is taking significant steps towards leveraging technology for better governance and rural development.

With this app, the Bihar government continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating an efficient and responsive public service system.
