Boney Kapoor Submits Master Plan for Noida Film City

NEW DELHI: Filmmaker Boney Kapoor, in collaboration with Bhutani Infra-backed Bayview Projects, has submitted the master plan for the first phase of the Noida International Film City to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). The project is set to commence construction in January 2025, pending approval, with completion targeted within three years.

The initial phase spans 230 acres and includes state-of-the-art facilities such as virtual studios, underwater filming amenities, and a dedicated film university aimed at training technicians. Kapoor emphasized that the film city will provide comprehensive infrastructure and services, enabling filmmakers to produce entire films on-site.

YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh assured prompt approval of the master plan, stating, “It will be our endeavour to ensure that the plan is approved at the earliest if it conforms to all norms and guidelines.”
