On February 15, 2025, the singer took to a fan communication platform to give an emotional update on his thoughts and feelings during his mandatory service.
In his message, Jungkook began by checking in with his fans, asking, “ARMY, are you all doing well?” He mentioned the gloomy weather around him, which seemed to reflect his own state of mind. “Today, the weather feels unusually bleak. It’s a night filled with many thoughts,” he wrote, hinting at his reflective mood.
The K-pop sensation also opened up about how he often finds comfort in imagining his time with ARMY. “I often picture myself with you all in photos, and it makes me happy. But sometimes, I feel unsure, wondering if it’s all just in my imagination. Despite these doubts, I promise to create even more beautiful memories than those I imagine. Of course, I will work hard to make that happen,” he shared.
He continued to emphasize his bond with his fans, writing, “The heart that thinks of ARMY and the pencil that wrote my story belong to you, and I will never forget that.” Jungkook acknowledged his vulnerabilities during this phase of his life, admitting that he feels a mix of emotions—anxiety, excitement, and impatience—while serving in the military.

Jungkook enlisted alongside fellow BTS member Jimin on December 12, 2023, and is currently serving as a corporal in the 5th Infantry Division of the South Korean Army.
