Ram Kapoor Dropped from Mistry Promotions After Controversial Remarks Shake Up Campaign 2025

Ram Kapoor Faces Backlash During Mistry Promotions

Ram Kapoor found himself at the center of controversy during the promotional campaign of his upcoming web series Mistry, an Indian adaptation of the popular American show Monk. The show, co-starring Mona Singh, is set to release on Jio Hotstar on June 27. However, days before its premiere, the actor has been quietly dropped from all promotional interviews following a series of inappropriate remarks that raised concerns among media professionals and the platform’s team.Hotstar Specials Mistry | Ram Kapoor | Mona Singh | Official Teaser | Streaming June 27 | JioHotstar

The issue came to light during a two-day media junket held on June 19 and 20 in Mumbai. Both Ram Kapoor and Mona Singh were scheduled to interact with the media. But late in the evening of June 19, Jio Hotstar informed journalists that Ram had pulled out of interviews for June 20, citing a “personal emergency.”

However, insiders later revealed that the real reason was not a personal commitment but rather a string of controversial remarks made by the actor on June 19. Sources claim that the trouble began with Ram reportedly dominating interviews and cutting into responses meant for his co-star. While this could be chalked up to overenthusiasm, the situation escalated when he made an off-color comment to a member of the Jio Hotstar marketing team in front of another journalist.

According to those present, Ram Kapoor, visibly frustrated with the number of scheduled interviews, allegedly said, “I feel like I’ve been gang-raped by elephants.” Though he later claimed it was a joke and not directed toward anyone in particular, the remark didn’t sit well with attendees.

Just hours later, another inappropriate comment followed. Right before a different interview began, Kapoor reportedly asked, “Which position should I take now? Doggy or missionary?” This statement was also made in the presence of the marketing team and a member of the press.

Actor Dropped from Jio Hotstar Interviews After Inappropriate Comments

As murmurs spread and concerns grew, yet another complaint surfaced this time involving a comment Ram made about a female executive’s attire, stating that it was distracting him. By then, the higher authorities at Jio Hotstar were informed, prompting a swift internal decision to pull the actor from day-two interviews entirely. Mona Singh continued with her solo press duties.

    Ram Kapoor

On June 21, a representative from Banijay Entertainment, the production house behind Mistry, reached out to media outlets to schedule further interviews with both Ram and Mona. These efforts were active through the weekend, but suddenly stopped on Monday, suggesting unresolved tension between the production company and the streaming platform.

While no official statement has been released by Ram Kapoor, Banijay, or Jio Hotstar confirming the exact nature of the fallout, sources claim that senior members of the production team flew to Mumbai in an attempt to mediate the situation and ensure the show’s promotion continues smoothly.

Despite the controversy, promotional activities are ongoing with Mona Singh taking the lead. Ram Kapoor remains featured in campaign materials and trailers, though his presence in further media appearances remains uncertain.Ram Kapoor

The incident has triggered discussions online about accountability in celebrity behavior and the standards maintained during public promotions. As the release date for Mistry draws closer, the spotlight has shifted away from the show’s creative elements and is instead fixed on the conduct of its lead actor.

    Conclusion:

The controversy around Ram Kapoor has undeniably overshadowed the initial buzz surrounding Mistry. While the show is still set for release, the situation serves as a reminder of the importance of professionalism, especially in highly public-facing roles.

Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 5: Shocking Drop Despite Star-Studded Power

Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 5: A Steep Drop Hits the Film’s Prospects

Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 5 paints a concerning picture for this big-budget mythological drama. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and headlined by Vishnu Manchu, the film saw a sharp drop in earnings on its first Monday, signaling a tough road ahead. Released on June 27, 2025, with a grand ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, the film had high expectations at the box office. However, Day 5 earnings tell a different story.Kannappa (Official Teaser -2) Hindi | Vishnu Manchu | Mohan Babu | Prabhas | Mohanlal | Akshay Kumar

According to Sacnilk, Kannappa earned only ₹1.66 crore on Day 5, a steep 73% drop from its opening day collection of ₹9.35 crore. The biggest hit came in the Telugu region, where the film now added just ₹1.26 crore, while the rest came from other language markets such as Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada. So far, the total collection has reached ₹27.36 crore net and ₹32.28 crore gross. When compared to its massive ₹200 crore budget, the recovery stands at a worrying 13.68%.

Budget vs Recovery: A Big Gap in Kannappa’s Earnings

Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 5. The film started off on a decent note during its opening weekend. It managed ₹9.35 crore on Friday, followed by ₹7.15 crore on Saturday and ₹6.9 crore on Sunday. But the momentum failed to carry through to Monday, where collections dropped significantly to ₹2.3 crore. Tuesday witnessed a further decline, with occupancy in Telugu theatres falling to just 14.13%.Kannappa': First look of Preity Mukundhan as Princess Nemali out - The Hindu

Despite its mythological subject and grandeur, Kannappa is finding it difficult to connect with a wider audience beyond its core fan base. The visuals and performances have received mixed reactions, and that seems to have impacted its weekday footfalls.

The Star Factor Isn’t Helping Enough

Kannappa has been in the making for over a decade and boasts a heavy cast lineup. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular character, while Akshay Kumar stars as Lord Shiva and Prabhas appears as Rudhra. The presence of stars like Mohanlal, Sarathkumar, and Kajal Aggarwal was expected to boost the film’s box office appeal, especially in multiple regions. Yet, despite their powerful appearances, the storyline and screenplay haven’t struck a strong chord with mass audiences.Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 5

Interestingly, the makers have announced that the film will not make an early debut on OTT platforms, signaling that they are still hopeful for a theatrical recovery—though the numbers say otherwise.

Behind the Scenes and Industry Reactions

Kannappa was written by Vishnu himself and produced by veteran actor Mohan Babu. Ahead of the film’s release, Mohan Babu shared a heartfelt note and a picture with superstar Rajinikanth, who watched the film privately with his family. According to Mohan Babu, Rajinikanth’s response was overwhelmingly positive, and the two shared an emotional moment post-screening.

However, critical praise from within the industry hasn’t translated into box office strength. As the weekday earnings decline, it’s becoming increasingly evident that the film may struggle to sustain itself past the first week unless there is a surprising weekend surge.

    Conclusion:

Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 5 has exposed a significant flaw in the film’s commercial journey. Despite an ensemble cast and a decade-long production history, the film’s steep Monday crash indicates that it’s heading toward a disappointing theatrical outcome. With just 13.68% of its budget recovered, the road ahead looks uncertain for Vishnu Manchu’s ambitious mythological epic.

The Northeast is emerging as a hotspot for investments, with Reliance, Adani, and Vedanta pledging significant resources towards:

    • Infrastructure development.
    • Renewable energy.
    • Logistics and transportation.

With combined investments worth over ₹150,000 crore, the economic landscape is poised for a revolutionary shift. However, this economic transformation depends on:

    • Skilled technical workforces.
    • Strong collaboration between state and central authorities.
    • Sustainable planning that prioritizes environmental conservation.

But this can only be achieved through:

    • Strong policy implementation.
    • Participation of local communities.
    • Sustainable investment and planning.

The future of the Northeast rests in its ability to overcome its geographical and infrastructural hurdles and harness its rich natural and human resources for long‑term national benefit.

Depression or Hormonal Shift? 2 Overlooked Signs Women Must Know After 40

Depression Misdiagnosed: How Perimenopause Confuses Mental Health in Women

Depression is a commonly discussed mental health condition, but many women over 40 are unknowingly facing something else perimenopause a phase that mimics depression through mood swings, anxiety, and lack of focus. This hormonal transition occurs years before menopause and brings about shifts in estrogen and progesterone, which directly impact mental well-being. WHO

Fatigue, Mood Changes, and the Silent Hormonal Storm Affecting Lives

The emotional changes women feel during this stage are real, but not always linked to mental health disorders. In fact, misdiagnosing perimenopause as depression is common, leading to unnecessary antidepressants instead of targeted hormonal care. Estrogen, which supports mood balance, drops during perimenopause, triggering symptoms like irritability, nervousness, and restlessness. Progesterone, another key hormone that calms the brain, also declines causing sleep problems, high stress, and a deep sense of tiredness.

These changes often confuse both women and doctors. The emotional toll is real, but the cause may not be psychological. Instead, it’s a biological transformation. Symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and changes in libido combined with emotional instability—are classic signs of perimenopause, not depression.

Depression Symptoms Often Hide the Deeper Hormonal Truth of Perimenopause

    Depression

Misinterpreting these signs can delay proper treatment. While antidepressants may help in some cases, they may not solve issues that stem from hormone imbalances. Non-hormonal therapies, lifestyle adjustments, and better awareness can provide more effective relief.

If you’re over 40 and constantly feel exhausted, emotionally overwhelmed, or unusually sad, it’s time to look deeper. Consulting a gynecologist and requesting hormone testing can offer clarity. Recognizing the signs of perimenopause early can protect mental health and improve quality of life during this major life transition.

    Conclusion:
Depression-like symptoms in women over 40 are sometimes just a mask for hormonal changes. Knowing the difference is the first step toward better care and a healthier, more balanced life.

Cause Food Poisoning: 8 Dangerous Food Combos That Might Be Harming Your Health

Food Combinations That Can Cause Food Poisoning

Cause food poisoning risks are often hidden in our everyday eating habits, especially when mixing certain ingredients without knowing how they react inside our body. Traditional systems like Ayurveda have long emphasized the importance of food compatibility. Today, even modern health experts warn about combinations that can upset digestion or trigger allergic responses. In some cases, they may even cause food poisoning. From dairy and fish to reheated greens, here’s what you need to watch out for.

    Food Poisoning

Avoid These 8 Harmful Food Pairings That May Cause Food Poisoning

Some food combinations seem harmless but could be quietly contributing to bloating, skin irritation, or in rare cases, serious foodborne illnesses. Let’s break down a few that you should start avoiding.

    1. Honey and Ghee in Equal Proportions

    Food Poisoning

Honey and ghee are individually known for their health benefits. But when consumed in equal quantities, Ayurveda considers this pairing toxic. The mix may disturb the digestive balance and is believed to produce harmful effects in the body over time. While more scientific research is still ongoing, traditional systems suggest it’s best to avoid this pairing altogether.

    2. Banana with Milk, Curd, or ButtermilkFood Poisoning

Banana and milk is a common breakfast combination—but it might not be ideal. Mixing banana with dairy can cause heaviness, gas, and sluggish digestion. For those with sensitive stomachs, it may even cause allergic symptoms or discomfort. Ayurveda recommends avoiding this mix, especially during the evening.

    3. Fish or Dry Fish with Milk or Curd

Food PoisoningThis is one of the most well-known dietary warnings. Drinking milk after eating fish or dried fish is believed to trigger skin conditions like leucoderma (white patches) and other allergic reactions. Though not all modern experts agree, many still advise avoiding this food pairing to reduce risks.

    4. Milk After Garlic, Drumstick, or RadishFood Poisoning

Some vegetables, like garlic, drumstick (moringa), and radish, do not pair well with milk. Consuming milk shortly after eating these may cause skin rashes, hives, or digestive discomfort. The body may struggle to process both together, especially if you’re prone to food sensitivities.

    5. Greens and Meat Together

    Food Poisoning

Combining high-protein meats with leafy greens sounds healthy, but it may not suit every digestive system. For some, this combination causes bloating, acidity, or heaviness, particularly when prepared with lots of oil or spices. Try to consume greens and meat in separate meals if digestion is a concern.

    6. Milk and MeatFood Poisoning

Milk is cooling and sweet in nature, while meat is heating and heavy. This combination is seen as a clash of energies in traditional systems, and even in modern nutrition, it’s not recommended. The conflicting properties can cause food to sit longer in the stomach, leading to indigestion and potential toxin buildup that may cause food poisoning in rare instances.

    7. Reheating Greens and Fenugreek

Food PoisoningLeafy greens like spinach and methi (fenugreek) contain nitrates, which are generally safe when freshly cooked. However, reheating them can turn these nitrates into harmful nitrites. These compounds may contribute to health risks including digestive distress or even long-term toxicity. For safety, try to consume these dishes fresh and avoid storing them overnight.

    8. Reheating EggsFood Poisoning

Reheating eggs after cooking can make them a breeding ground for bacteria, especially if not stored properly. This raises the chance of food poisoning, particularly when the dish is left at room temperature for too long. Additionally, the protein structure in reheated eggs may change, affecting digestion and increasing allergic responses in some people.

Small Steps to Prevent Big Problems

Eating smart doesn’t always mean avoiding your favorite dishes—but knowing how food combinations work can save you from unwanted illness. If you’ve ever felt discomfort after a meal, it might not be the ingredients themselves but how they were combined or stored.

    Conclusion:

Choosing the right food combinations and avoiding reheating sensitive ingredients can protect your gut and immune health. By staying mindful of these common mistakes, you can prevent the discomfort and risks that often cause food poisoning. When possible, eat fresh, cook clean, and keep your meals light and balanced.

His speech celebrated the shift from Look East to Act East, citing over 700 ministerial visits to the region as evidence of deeper engagement and emotional connectivity with its people.

Highlighting sweeping infrastructure upgrades, the Prime Minister spoke of transformative projects such as the Sela Tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh, the Bhupen Hazarika Bridge in Assam, and the development of 11,000 km of highways, new railway lines, doubled airport capacity, and a 1,600-km Northeast Gas Grid. These projects, he noted, have laid the groundwork for seamless trade, tourism, and industry expansion, positioning the Northeast as India’s “gateway to ASEAN.”

    Investment and Tourism Potential

With the “Heal in India” campaign gaining momentum globally, the Prime Minister identified the region’s rich biodiversity, clean environment, and organic lifestyle as unique selling points for wellness-driven investments.

The PM noted a doubling of tourist arrivals in the Northeast, driven by improved connectivity, homestays, and growing entrepreneurial ventures in the hospitality sector. He hailed this as a socio-economic revolution that is creating jobs and empowering youth.

    A Hub for Strategic Sectors

In a bold vision for the future, PM Modi announced that the Northeast is becoming a strategic hub for two high-potential sectors: energy and semiconductors. With thousands of crores invested in hydropower and solar projects, and the emergence of Assam as a semiconductor ecosystem, the region is set to host the first Made in India semiconductor chip from a Northeast-based plant.

He emphasized that developing manufacturing capabilities in solar modules, storage solutions, and semiconductors would reduce India’s import dependency while placing the Northeast at the forefront of India’s technological transformation.

    Empowering Youth and Expanding Education

PM Modi stressed the centrality of skill development in national progress. Over the last decade, ₹21,000 crore has been invested in education and training in the Northeast. New AIIMS, IIITs, 800+ schools, and nearly 200 skill development institutes have been established, alongside a sports university and 250+ Khelo India centers.

Young entrepreneurs from the Northeast are no longer just internet users, but digital innovators,” said Modi, noting the surge in startups, enhanced 4G/5G coverage, and optical fiber expansion.

    Peace, Prosperity, and Organic Growth

The Prime Minister asserted that the region’s development hinges on peace and political stability. With a “zero tolerance policy for terrorism,” the government has facilitated over 10,000 youth in renouncing arms, enabling them to embrace peace and development. Schemes like MUDRA have financially empowered lakhs of aspiring entrepreneurs.

He also emphasized the export potential of Northeast’s organic produce—including tea, pineapple, turmeric, and ginger—driven by rising global demand. Government initiatives like the Oil Palm Mission are further aimed at transforming the region into a hub for food processing and agro-industry.

    Northeast: India’s Rising Star

Calling the Rising Northeast not just a summit but a “movement and a call to action,” PM Modi urged business leaders, investors, and policymakers to partner in the transformation of the Northeast into a global growth engine.

Ashtalakshmi—the symbol of Northeast’s potential—must become the driving force of a Viksit Bharat,” he concluded, expressing hope that by the next summit, India and its Northeast will have reached new heights of prosperity.

    Dignitaries in Attendance

The event witnessed participation from prominent leaders including Union Minister for DoNER Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Chief Ministers of all eight Northeastern states, and several other dignitaries.
