Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) Proudly Organizes Demo Day for ‘Samarth’ Program Startups; Announces 2nd Cohort Call for Proposals

The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), an autonomous research and development organization under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, hosted a Demo Day event showcasing 18 startups selected earlier under its ‘Samarth’ Incubation Program. Launched in March 2025, Samarth is a cutting-edge incubation initiative supporting startups in the Telecom and ICT sectors including 5G/6G, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IoT, and quantum technologies.

Program Overview

The Samarth Program operates in cohorts of six months each, with a maximum capacity of 18 startups per cohort, supporting a total of 36 startups under the initiative. It provides comprehensive support including:

  • Expert mentorship by C-DOT scientists and external industry leaders

  • Power-packed acceleration sessions covering product development, financial management, legal/IP aspects, and fundraising strategies

  • Fully furnished office space and access to C-DOT’s advanced lab facilities at the Delhi and Bengaluru campuses

  • Grants of up to ₹5 lakh for startups progressing to the next stage.



Demo Day Highlights and Outcome

At the Demo Day, startups presented their progress and demonstrated innovative solutions related to their assigned problem statements. All 18 startups showcased remarkable outcomes. Based on performance, the following five startups were selected for the Stage-II grant and continued support:

  • Turtleneck Systems & Solutions Pvt Ltd

  • Purvanchal Engineering Systems Pvt Ltd

  • Vital Carbon Pvt Ltd

  • Agriverse Innovations Pvt Ltd

  • Jumps Automation LLP

Selected startups will receive financial grants, continued access to office space and laboratories, and mentorship. They will also be eligible for further collaboration and funding opportunities under C-DOT’s Collaborative Research Program (CCRP).

Leadership and Partnerships

Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO of C-DOT, applauded the startups and mentors for their dedication and performance. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of C-DOT with implementation partners Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) to nurture a vibrant startup ecosystem fostering India’s digital growth and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.

The Demo Day was attended by key dignitaries including Ms. Shikha Shrivastava (Executive Vice President, C-DOT), Mr. Arvind Kumar (DG, STPI), Ms. Geetika Dayal (DG, TiE Delhi-NCR), Shri Pradeep Gupta (Chairman, Cyber Media Group), investors, venture capitalists, and representatives from TiE and the startup community.

Call for Proposals: Samarth Cohort-II

C-DOT announced the call for proposals for the second cohort of the Samarth Incubation Program, inviting DPIIT-recognized startups working in advanced telecom and ICT technologies to apply. The program continues to offer an enabling environment including mentorship, infrastructure support, funding, and market access to startups striving to innovate and scale.
