Coal India Limited’s subsidiary, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), today inaugurated the country’s first fully women-operated Central Store Unit at its Central Workshop in Korba, Maharashtra. This milestone marks an important step toward promoting women’s leadership in core industrial sectors and aligning with the Government of India’s campaign ‘Nari Shakti se Rashtra Shakti’ (Women Power, Nation Power).

The new Central Store Unit is managed entirely by a dedicated team of eight women officers and staff, led by Ms. Sapna Ikka, Senior Manager (E&M), an IIT (ISM) Dhanbad alumna.
