The Telugu action thriller Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and marking Bobby Deol’s debut in Telugu cinema, experienced a notable decline in box office collections on its second day. After a robust opening with Rs.25.35 crore on Sunday, the film garnered approximately Rs.12.8 crore on Monday, bringing its total domestic net collection to around Rs.38.15 crore.

Despite the dip, the film’s performance remains commendable, especially considering the tendency of Telugu films to be frontloaded with higher earnings on opening days. The release coincided with the Sankranti festival, which is expected to sustain audience interest and box office figures in the coming days.

Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and directed by Bobby Kolli, Daaku Maharaaj features an ensemble cast including Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela. The film was released on January 12, 2025, and has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.

As the festive season continues, the film’s box office trajectory will be closely monitored to assess its overall success and reception among the audience.
