Delhi BJP Chief Slams Arvind Kejriwal, Calls Him a ‘Liar’ Ahead of Upcoming Polls

The Delhi assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with the counting of votes on February 8. The AAP, which has secured sweeping victories in the past two terms, now faces fierce competition from both the BJP and Congress.

Breaking News

As the Delhi assembly elections draw near, the political battle between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has heated up. BJP Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of failing to fulfill his promises and labeling him a “liar” with a “kaali zubaan” (black tongue).

Sachdeva, during his remarks, criticized Kejriwal for not honoring his commitments, calling him a “synonym for lies.” He pointed out that Kejriwal had once sworn not to accept a government car, bungalow, or security, but questioned whose promises were broken, alleging that the AAP leader had failed to live up to his words.

The BJP leader also brought up a broken promise made during the Punjab elections, where Kejriwal assured that women would receive Rs.1,000 in their accounts once AAP came to power. According to Sachdeva, that promise was never fulfilled, leading him to accuse Kejriwal of dishonesty.

Additionally, Sachdeva took aim at Kejriwal’s failed promise to clean the Yamuna River, which was a major part of his campaign agenda. “He claimed he would clean the Yamuna within a year and take a dip with his entire cabinet. Did he do it? No,” Sachdeva said, further asserting that Kejriwal’s name had become synonymous with lies.

The BJP chief also made a reference to Kejriwal’s associates, including Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, and Sanjay Singh, claiming that their alleged arrests had been the only statements from the Delhi CM that turned out to be true.

Amid these verbal clashes, the BJP and AAP have been embroiled in a series of disputes, including the controversial “Sheesh Mahal” issue. BJP leaders showcased the bungalow once occupied by Kejriwal, mocking it as a “Sheesh Mahal,” and questioned the need for a separate bungalow for Chief Minister Atishi. Meanwhile, AAP workers staged protests outside the Prime Minister’s official residence, calling it a “Raj Mahal.”
