Department of Telecommunications Proudly Concludes Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 Campaign and Launches Special Campaign 5.0 Implementation Phase

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) successfully celebrated the Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign from 17th September to 2nd October under the theme “Swachhotsav.” This large-scale initiative encouraged extensive awareness and active participation for Swachhata and featured cleanliness drives focused on Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) nationwide. Officers and staff from DoT headquarters, attached offices, subordinate units, field units, and public sector units engaged enthusiastically in the campaign.

Events and Public Engagement

The campaign included inspiring events such as walkathons, poster making competitions, tree plantations, Swachhata pledges, and Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir across DoT’s field offices. For example, essay and poster competitions were conducted by CCA Ambala; tree plantation and Safai Mitra health camps took place at various offices including TCIL Bhawan and C-DOT in New Delhi. Before and after transformations of CTUs reflected the effectiveness of these efforts.

In response to the nationwide call for “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath,” all officers and officials from PSUs, subordinate offices, and field units enthusiastically participated in shramdaan activities on 25th September, promoting collective social responsibility for cleanliness.



Launch of Special Campaign 5.0 Implementation Phase

At the culmination of Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, DoT launched the implementation phase of Special Campaign 5.0, beginning with a cleanliness drive at DoT headquarters and a renewed commitment to resolving pending public grievances and related administrative matters. During the campaign’s preparatory phase, DoT identified and updated targets for disposing of pending MP references, state government references, public grievances, parliamentary assurances, and PG appeals.

Campaign Targets

  • Cleaning and maintenance of over 450 campaign sites nationwide.

  • Review and weeding out of 22,168 physical files.

  • Disposal of 43 VIP references.

  • Settlement of 2,105 public grievances and 555 grievance appeals.
