Telangana film producer Dil Raju shared positive updates about the recovery of Sri Tej, the son of Revathi, who tragically lost her life in the Sandhya Theatre stampede during the Pushpa 2 premiere. Sri Tej, who was critically injured in the incident, has now been taken off the ventilator and is showing signs of improvement.
Dil Raju visited Sri Tej’s family at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad and confirmed that the child is responding well to treatment. “He is recovering and was taken off the ventilator two days ago,” Raju told ANI. He also met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to discuss providing further assistance to the family, ensuring both the film industry and government offer necessary support.
Sri Tej’s father, Baskar, also spoke to the media, sharing that his son is slowly recovering. Earlier, the producers of Pushpa 2, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, donated ₹50 lakh to the victim’s family, with the cheque handed over at KIMS Hospital in the presence of Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
The tragedy unfolded on December 4 when a large crowd gathered for the Pushpa 2 premiere. The situation became chaotic when actor Allu Arjun interacted with fans, leading to a stampede that resulted in Revathi’s death and injuries to her son. Following the incident, Allu Arjun was summoned by police for questioning.
On December 22, protests demanding justice for Revathi led to the vandalism of Allu Arjun’s residence, resulting in further tensions.
