The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, visited the Pasadena Community Centre in Los Angeles on Friday to support those affected by the devastating wildfires sweeping through the region. The couple was filmed embracing residents and engaging with emergency responders as part of their efforts to offer comfort and assistance.

During their visit, Harry and Meghan met with Victor Gordo, the Mayor of Pasadena, and were seen speaking with World Central Kitchen (WCK) founder, chef José Andrés. WCK has set up pop-up locations across California, including at the Pasadena Centre, providing hot meals to both victims and emergency workers. The couple also met Doug Goodwin, a local resident whose home was destroyed by the fires.

The recent wildfires have claimed at least 11 lives, forced thousands of evacuations, and left widespread devastation in their wake. Harry and Meghan, who reside in Montecito, around 90 miles from Los Angeles, have shown their support by donating clothing, essential supplies, and children’s items to those in need. They are also believed to have opened their home to friends and family displaced by the fires.

Additionally, the couple has shared resources on their website, urging people to donate to fire service charities and animal organizations helping those affected. In their message, they emphasized the importance of offering shelter to evacuees and checking in on elderly or disabled neighbors.
