Electric Mercedes-Benz GLC Proudly Introduces Massive 39-Inch MBUX Hyperscreen Display

Breaking News

Mumbai: Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the interior of its all-new electric GLC SUV just ahead of its global debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 event in Munich. This model is the first series-production Mercedes to sport the brand’s new design language, which elegantly merges flowing surfaces with cutting-edge digital technology.

Largest Display Ever in a Mercedes

The centerpiece of the electric GLC’s cabin is the new MBUX Hyperscreen, stretching a whopping 39.1 inches across the entire dashboard from pillar to pillar. This seamless display is the largest ever fitted by Mercedes-Benz, featuring revolutionary matrix backlight technology equipped with over 1,000 individually controlled LEDs. The screen supports zone dimming, allowing independent brightness adjustments in two display areas to reduce driver distraction while maintaining visual clarity.

Innovative Cabin Design and Ambient Lighting

The cabin integrates the instrument panel and center console into a continuous surface enhanced by ambient lighting. Premium finishes such as galvanised air vents, metallic speaker grilles, and uncluttered door panels add to the luxurious feel. Depending on configuration, the center console offers practical features like wireless fast charging trays, a new tactile hard-key strip, and separated cup holders.

Mercedes has also introduced new immersive ambient lighting styles that act as high-resolution screen backgrounds, dynamically coordinating with the vehicle’s lighting and controls to create various moods from calm and warm to technical and emotional. Even the climate control adjusts the ambient lighting colors temporarily to enhance interaction and cabin atmosphere.

Upcoming Launch and Market Impact

This all-electric GLC with its stunning hyperscreen interior is scheduled to launch globally in spring 2026. This move marks Mercedes-Benz’s digital evolution and sets new standards in luxury EV interiors, targeting a blend of usability, style, and advanced technology that rivals like Audi and BMW will need to match.
