In a shocking incident in Lucknow, five members of a family were found murdered inside a hotel early on Wednesday. The crime took place at Hotel Sharanjit, located in the Naka area of Uttar Pradesh’s state capital. The accused, Arshad, a 24-year-old man, was apprehended by the police from the crime scene shortly after the gruesome discovery.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Central Lucknow, Raveena Tyagi, Arshad allegedly killed five of his own family members, including his mother and four sisters. The victims were identified as his mother Asma and his sisters Alia (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16), and Rahmeen (18). The police believe that domestic disputes may have been the trigger for the violent act.
Arshad, originally from Agra, reportedly committed the murders out of frustration stemming from familial conflicts. Forensic teams have already been deployed to the hotel to collect evidence, and a detailed investigation is underway.
Local authorities have expressed concern over the brutal nature of the crime, with the incident raising questions about the extent of domestic tensions within families. Police are continuing to question Arshad as they piece together more information regarding the motive behind the tragedy.
