Mumbai: In a unique convergence of spirituality, endurance, and national fitness ethos, the 4th Akhil Maharashtra Pandharpur Cycle Wari Sammelan – 2025 was celebrated with unprecedented zeal and unity as part of the ongoing Fit India Sundays on Cycle initiative. The mega cycling event was a collaborative effort by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Regional Centre – Mumbai, and the Pandharpur Cycle Wari Sangh, reinforcing the ideals of the Fit India Movement through community-driven action.




🚴‍♀️ Record-Breaking Participation: Over 5000 Cyclists, 10 Lakh Kilometres Pedalled

With over 5000 cyclists representing 90+ cycling clubs from across Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh, the event set a new national record for the largest ever cycling congregation in India. Participants began their journey 3–4 days in advance, pedaling across distances ranging from 400 to 450 kilometers, covering a cumulative total of over 10 lakh kilometers to reach the sacred town of Pandharpur, located in Maharashtra’s Solapur district.

The cyclists demonstrated extraordinary devotion, discipline, and endurance as they took part in the traditional Nagar Pradakshina and the Ringan Sohala, blending physical fitness with spiritual engagement and cultural pride.
