In response to ongoing anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh, Hindu Americans in Silicon Valley have initiated a high-profile awareness campaign called “Ask Yunus Why”. Led by the United Hindu Council, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the issue through the use of large billboards and hoardings throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
The first billboard of the campaign was unveiled in Oakland at a prime location near 880-N and Market Street just before Christmas. The billboard features a compelling message calling attention to the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
Over the next three months, digital billboards will be strategically placed at six major locations across the Bay Area, including popular bridges and high-traffic zones. These billboards will carry messages that encourage viewers to inquire about the root causes of the violence and spark broader discussions around the ongoing issue.
The “Ask Yunus Why” campaign is a direct response to the escalating violence against the Hindu community in Bangladesh, with the aim of both raising awareness and urging action on behalf of affected communities. The initiative reflects the growing concern among Hindu-Americans for the safety and well-being of their religious peers abroad.
