A Russian woman, visiting the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, expressed her admiration and love for India’s culture and people, calling it “the true power of India.” Surrounded by millions of devotees gathered at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, the Russian devotee shared her profound experience of attending the world’s largest spiritual gathering.
In a video posted by ANI, the woman, adorned with a flower garland, enthusiastically exclaimed, “Mera Bharat Mahaan… India is a great country. We are here at Kumbh Mela for the first time. Here, we can see the real India—the true power lies in the people of India. I am shaking because of the vibe of the people of this holy place. I love India.” Her emotional expression, in a Puma t-shirt and radiant smile, touched many as she spoke about the spiritual energy of the gathering.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, held once every 12 years, draws millions from across India and the world. The sacred bath in the Sangam is believed to purify sins and offer liberation from the cycle of life and death.
On January 13, over one crore people attended, and the number is expected to reach three crore during Makar Sankranti. Authorities have implemented strict security measures, including a no-vehicle zone around the mela area, traffic diversions, and high-tech drones for surveillance to ensure the safety of the crowd.
