The competition has already attracted attention with its exciting lineup, though as of January 12—the deadline for provisional squad submissions—India and Pakistan are the only two teams yet to announce their squads. Six other teams have confirmed their 15-player squads, while India’s squad announcement has been delayed reportedly due to fitness concerns surrounding players like Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has requested an extension and is expected to finalize their squad by January 19.
