IIFT Hosts 15th Indian Management Conclave 2025, Honors Shri Rajesh Agrawal with Distinguished Alumni Award

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, in partnership with MBAUniverse.com, successfully organized the 15th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2025, India’s premier platform for management education. The conclave attracted over 400 participants, including directors and deans from top B-schools like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Ranchi, MDI Gurgaon, XLRI Jamshedpur, and senior industry leaders from Deloitte, McKinsey, IndiGo, and more. The theme was “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Business and B-Schools to Enhance Competitiveness”.

Event Highlights

The two-day event included plenaries, an international research conference, master classes, and the prestigious IMC Awards. Sessions discussed AI applications in pedagogy, ethics, employability, and the globalization of management education. Faculty from IIT Delhi, INSEAD, University of Southampton, and other institutions shared cutting-edge research.



Awards and Recognition

The Valedictory Session featured the IMC IRC Best Research Paper Award, IMC Awards for Excellence in Management Education, and the Distinguished Alumni Award. This year, Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Special Secretary, Department of Commerce, received the Distinguished Alumni Award for his tremendous contributions to trade policy and economic diplomacy. Agrawal expressed gratitude, crediting IIFT for shaping his values and outlook. He also emphasized the relevance of AI in reshaping curricula and industry collaboration.

Inaugural and Valedictory Addresses

The conclave opened with a welcome address by Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Vice Chancellor, IIFT, and remarks by Mr. Amit Agnihotri, Founder & Chair of Indian Management Conclave. Dr. T.G. Sitharam, AICTE Chairman, delivered the inaugural address, stressing AI’s transformative role in competitiveness and advocating for multidisciplinary learning aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.

Shri Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, graced the valedictory session as Chief Guest. He lauded IIFT’s rise to global prominence, including its Dubai campus and LinkedIn Top 50 MBA ranking, urging B-schools to integrate AI while safeguarding ethics and human values.
