In a significant diplomatic engagement, the delegation is also scheduled to meet with the ASEAN Secretary General, reflecting India’s strategic commitment to work closely with Southeast Asian nations in maintaining peace, regional stability, and cooperative security frameworks.

The itinerary includes meetings with resident ambassadors, engagements with prominent Indonesian think tanks, as well as interactions with academics and journalists. Emphasizing India’s People-to-People Bonds

The delegation will also interact with the Indian diaspora in Indonesia, which serves as a vital bridge between the two democracies. The discussions will revolve around India’s firm stance on cross-border terrorism and how the diaspora can serve as global ambassadors of India’s message of peace and unity.

These engagements reflect India’s consistent diplomatic campaign to isolate terrorism globally and foster a network of cooperation, not only at the government level but also across civil society, academia, and the media.

A Step Towards a Coordinated Global Stand

India and Indonesia, two robust democracies with shared values of peace and tolerance, have historically supported multilateral efforts against terrorism. This delegation’s visit is yet another demonstration of India’s efforts to build a cohesive global front against extremism, echoing the country’s call for a principled, consistent, and collective global approach to tackle terrorism.
