New Delhi: The second edition of India MedTech Expo 2025 will be held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 4th to 6th September 2025. Organized by the Department of Pharmaceuticals in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPCMD), and Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), this flagship event underscores India’s growing stature as a global hub for precision-driven yet affordable medical technology.
Key Event Details and Inauguration
Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT Shri Jitin Prasada will inaugurate the Expo. Distinguished dignitaries including Shri Amit Agrawal (Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals), Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav (Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce), Mr. P. Krishnamurthy (Chairman, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority), Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi (DCGI), and Shri R. P. Singh (Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals) will actively participate in the event.
India MedTech Expo 2025 Highlights and Themes
The three-day Expo will feature an expansive showcase of over 500 medical device companies, MSMEs, startups, research institutions, government initiatives, and state showcases under the theme “India: Global MedTech Manufacturing Hub, Precision Engineering yet Affordable.” The exhibition will include six specialized pavilions—MSME, Future, R&D, Government, State, and Start-up—illustrating the full spectrum of India’s MedTech ecosystem.
Attendees can expect keynote conferences, CEO roundtables, fireside chats, and state-focused sessions complemented by B2B meetings, reverse buyer-seller meets, and regulator open houses designed to foster collaboration and investment. The event will spotlight future innovation while emphasizing India’s Vision 2047 for a cutting-edge healthcare manufacturing sector.
Industry Growth and Global Participation
According to Mr. Praveen Kumar Mittal, Executive Director of EPCMD, India’s medical device market currently stands at nearly USD 15 billion and is projected to double to USD 30 billion by 2030. With over 800 MedTech startups and robust R&D capabilities, India aims to evolve beyond a consumer base to become a global innovation and export hub. The Expo expects participation from over 150 international buyers representing more than 30 countries, providing unparalleled opportunities for global partnerships.
Collaborative Ecosystem and Government Support
The event will showcase five states demonstrating manufacturing and investment potential, backed by experts from premier institutions such as IITs, IISc, AIIMS, ICMR, NITI Aayog, and the World Bank. Focused investment presentations and policy discussions from Union and State agencies will further encourage both domestic and foreign investment in the MedTech sector.
