  2. Shreyas Iyer briefly held the record before Pant’s sale, as Punjab Kings bought him for ₹26.75 crore.
  3. Jos Buttler was the most expensive overseas player, with Gujarat Titans acquiring him for ₹15.75 crore.
  4. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old rising star from Bihar, has been picked by Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.1 crore, becoming the youngest player ever selected in the IPL auction.
  5. Punjab Kings retained Arshdeep Singh for ₹18 crore using the Right to Match (RTM) card then,
  6. Mumbai Indians bought Trent Boult for ₹12.5 crore, bolstering their bowling attack.
Teams were allotted a budget of ₹120 crore to build a squad of at least 18 players and a maximum of 25 players.
