Jaguar’s ambitious rebranding strategy includes exclusive retail stores designed to integrate local culture, with the first opening in Paris's luxury fashion district. Despite some backlash over its modernist-styled logo and new direction, Jaguar’s commitment to innovation and elegance positions the Type 00 as a potential game-changer in the luxury EV market.

Breaking News

Jaguar has introduced its highly anticipated Type 00 electric concept car during Miami Art Week, setting the stage for its upcoming electric vehicle lineup. The Type 00 showcases Jaguar’s new design philosophy and signals its ambition to redefine luxury in the EV market.

This futuristic vehicle features an impressive 770km driving range on a single charge and rapid-charging capabilities that add up to 321km in just 15 minutes. Built on the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) platform, the Type 00 is a testament to the brand’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

A Nod to Heritage and Modernity

The name “Type 00” pays homage to Jaguar’s iconic legacy, referencing the E-Type, often regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The twin zeroes represent zero tailpipe emissions and the car’s groundbreaking role as the first of its kind in Jaguar’s new electric lineup.

The Type 00 boasts a sleek silhouette with a long bonnet, fastback profile, and 23-inch alloy wheels. It features butterfly doors, a panoramic roof with integrated glazing, and a unique ‘pantograph’ tailgate. Two striking launch colors, Miami Pink and London Blue, reflect the car’s global inspiration—Miami’s Art Deco culture and Jaguar’s British roots.

Luxe Interiors and Materials

Inside, the Type 00 redefines opulence with three premium materials: brass, travertine stone, and innovative textiles. The interior features brass accents running through the cabin, hidden screens that glide out seamlessly, and soft-close powered stowage.

Rebranding and Future Plans

Jaguar, owned by Tata Motors, is undergoing a significant transformation, moving away from diesel models to a fully electric portfolio. The Type 00 will pave the way for a new four-door GT model set to debut in 2025. By 2026, Jaguar plans to introduce three electric models, all manufactured in the UK.

Jaguar’s ambitious rebranding strategy includes exclusive retail stores designed to integrate local culture, with the first opening in Paris’s luxury fashion district. Despite some backlash over its modernist-styled logo and new direction, Jaguar’s commitment to innovation and elegance positions the Type 00 as a potential game-changer in the luxury EV market.
