JHARKHAND: A chilling murder case has emerged from Khunti district in Jharkhand, where 25-year-old Naresh Bhengra, a butcher by profession, strangled his live-in partner and dismembered her body into 40-50 pieces. Bhengra, who secretly married another woman, allegedly killed his partner on November 8 during a trip to a forest near Jordag village. Police uncovered the crime on November 24 after discovering a mutilated hand carried by a stray dog.
The victim’s remains, scattered in the forest, were identified using belongings, including her Aadhaar card. Bhengra confessed to using his butchery skills to dispose of the body, hoping wild animals would consume the remains. Authorities confirmed he raped the woman before the murder, driven by her insistence on returning to his marital home.
This incident has drawn comparisons to the 2022 Shraddha Walker case, highlighting the brutality of such crimes.
