Mumbai, July 29, 2025 — Indian equity benchmarks witnessed a positive trading session on Tuesday, with the Nifty 50 closing at 24,734.70, marking a gain of 55.95 points or 0.23%. The index opened at 24,609.65, touched an intraday high of 24,742.70, and dipped to a low of 24,598.60 before stabilizing.
The upward momentum extended across broader indices:
Nifty Next 50 surged by 372.60 points (+0.56%) to settle at 67,141.50.
Nifty Financial Services rose by 45.15 points (+0.17%) to close at 26,660.35.
Nifty Bank inched up 5.45 points (+0.01%) to 56,090.35.
Top Gainers
Among the standout performers on the NSE were:
HIRECT surged by ₹242.60 (+17.00%) to ₹1,669.50.
JAYNECOIND jumped 19.98%, closing at ₹49.42, supported by heavy trading volume of 1,661.56 lakh shares, translating to a turnover of ₹780.43 crores.
PURVA gained 13.64% to ₹299.10.
TIMESGTY and PUNJABCHEM also ended the day higher by 13.55% and 12.63%, respectively.
Top Losers
On the flip side, select counters witnessed profit-booking:
VALIANT-RE was the biggest laggard, declining 22.61% to close at ₹9.00.
AEROFLEX lost 7.84%, settling at ₹189.55.
MANORAMA, XPROINDIA, and KOLTEPATIL recorded losses in the range of 6.69% to 7.31%.
