Punjabi singer Karan Aujla has broken his silence over an unsettling incident during his concert in London last year, where a fan threw a shoe at him mid-performance. The incident, which took place at the O2 Arena in September, made headlines when the shoe landed near the singer while he was on stage.
In an interview with NDTV, Aujla addressed the situation, condemning the act and emphasizing that such behavior is not part of the culture of respect for artists. He said, “As artists, we put our heart and soul into every performance. We aim to create memories, not just sing and dance. I always treat my fans with respect because they are the reason I’m here today.”
Aujla went on to explain, “Throwing things on stage, especially something as disrespectful as a shoe, is not our way of showing appreciation. All I ask for is respect—not just for me, but for every artist performing.”
The incident occurred when a shoe was thrown from the audience and hit Aujla during his performance. Videos of the moment quickly spread on social media, showing the singer pausing his show and confronting the individual. He responded by saying, “Who was that? If you have a problem with me, come up on stage and talk directly.”
Security swiftly removed the person from the venue, and Aujla resumed his performance shortly thereafter.
Karan Aujla recently wrapped up his “It Was All A Dream” tour in India, where he performed in cities like Chandigarh, Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai, continuing to engage fans with his chart-topping tracks like “Softly” and “Tauba Tauba.”
