Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has alleged that a major conspiracy is being orchestrated to defame Punjab and its people. His comments came in the wake of an assassination attempt on Sukhbir Singh Badal, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former Punjab deputy chief minister.

Addressing the Delhi Assembly on Wednesday, Kejriwal condemned the attack, stating that the quick response of the Punjab Police had averted a major tragedy. He confirmed that Badal was safe and praised the Punjab Police for preventing the incident.

Kejriwal also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership for questioning Punjab’s law and order situation following the incident. He pointed out the hypocrisy of the BJP, accusing them of remaining silent about the serious crime situation in Delhi, including rampant gang violence, drug trafficking, and violence against women.
