Kejriwal Questions RSS Chief on BJP’s Alleged Electoral Misconduct; BJP Rebuts

The 70-member Delhi Assembly election is scheduled for February, with both parties ramping up their campaigns and addressing key issues to sway voters in the national capital.

Breaking News

In a recent letter to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal raised concerns about the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) alleged electoral malpractices in Delhi. Kejriwal questioned whether the RSS endorses actions such as vote-buying and the purported large-scale deletion of Purvanchali and Dalit voters from electoral rolls.

Kejriwal’s letter comes ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled for February. He accused BJP leaders of distributing money to secure votes and manipulating voter lists to disenfranchise specific communities. In response, BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi dismissed the letter as a publicity stunt aimed at garnering media attention before the elections. Trivedi suggested that Kejriwal should learn the “spirit of service” from the RSS instead of engaging in political maneuvers.

Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva also criticized Kejriwal, urging him to cease making false promises and to address issues such as corruption and the condition of the Yamuna River. Sachdeva further accused Kejriwal of promoting alcohol in Delhi and accepting donations from anti-India forces.

This exchange intensifies the ongoing political rivalry between AAP and BJP as both parties prepare for the forthcoming elections. Kejriwal’s allegations of voter list manipulation and vote-buying have been met with strong rebuttals from BJP leaders, who accuse AAP of engaging in similar tactics to bolster their voter base.
