Market Sentiment:
The market breadth remained mixed with sharp stock-specific action. Investors booked profits in high-beta and bank stocks, while certain midcap and smallcap counters witnessed heavy buying interest. Volatility remains a concern ahead of upcoming global economic data and Q1 corporate earnings.
Analyst Take:
“Markets are showing signs of fatigue at higher levels after a strong rally over the past few weeks. Stock-picking remains crucial as broader indices are expected to remain volatile in the near term,” said an equity strategist at a leading brokerage firm.
Outlook on July 22, 2025:
With global markets presenting mixed cues and domestic earnings season picking pace, Indian equities may see sectoral rotation and profit booking in the coming sessions. Traders are advised to maintain a cautious stance with a focus on fundamentally strong counters.
