New Delhi : In a significant step towards fostering parliamentary consensus ahead of the Monsoon Session 2025, the Government convened a high-level meeting with leaders from various political parties at the Parliament House Complex in New Delhi. The meeting, chaired by Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda and called by Shri Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, witnessed the participation of 54 leaders representing 40 political parties, including several Union Ministers.
Session Details and Legislative Agenda
Union Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju outlined the blueprint of the upcoming Monsoon Session, informing attendees that the session would commence on Monday, July 21, 2025, and continue till Thursday, August 21, 2025, spread across 21 sittings over 32 days. A brief recess will occur between August 12 and August 17 to facilitate Independence Day celebrations.
Shri Rijiju also disclosed that 17 legislative and other business items have been tentatively identified for deliberation. The Government assured that it is fully prepared to discuss other pressing national issues as per the established rules of Parliament.

He assured that the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has taken note of the concerns raised and committed to ensuring action through the appropriate channels in accordance with parliamentary procedures.
