New Delhi: On August 14, 2025, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) convened the third round of its Sensitization cum Review Meeting of Statistical Advisers (SAs) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This pivotal gathering brought together leading policymakers, Statistical Advisers from various central ministries, and senior government officials to reinforce institutional coordination and advance a robust, evidence-driven decision-making ecosystem for India.

  • Commended MoSPI’s strong privacy protections and advocated for enhanced interoperability of government datasets.

Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran:

  • Reiterated the indispensability of credible, timely, and user-friendly data in shaping policy decisions and India’s global reputation.

  • Wanted SAs to generate insights, extend data sources beyond government, and proactively deliver user-centric data solutions.

Dr. Saurabh Garg:

  • Outlined MoSPI’s modernization initiatives, including the e-Sankhyiki portal—a unified platform integrating key datasets from multiple ministries by 2025–26.
