No Hope for SP to Regain Power Until 2047: UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya

Accuses Samajwadi Party of Misleading Backwards and Dalits with Strategic Alliances

Breaking News

UTTAR PRADESH: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has made strong remarks, asserting that the Samajwadi Party (SP) will not come to power in Uttar Pradesh until at least 2047. His comments come amidst SP’s struggles and their recent poor performance in the assembly bypolls.

Taking a direct jibe at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, Maurya criticized the party’s recent electoral strategies and alleged misleading efforts. According to Maurya, SP’s attempts to consolidate their support through the PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) formula have collapsed.

Maurya further accused the SP of misleading marginalized groups by forming alliances with the BSP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and aligning with Congress for the 2024 polls. Despite these political efforts, Maurya claims the BJP and its allies have secured strong victories in recent bypolls, with BJP winning six out of nine seats and its ally RLD securing one.

“Forget about 2027, wait till 2047, Akhilesh ji. Even then, there is no hope of SP coming to power,” said Maurya. This response comes in contrast to Akhilesh Yadav’s statement during the by-election campaign, where he optimistically predicted a clean sweep of all nine assembly seats and an end to BJP’s dominance in Uttar Pradesh by 2027.

Maurya reiterated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation’s development remains a priority, and efforts to maintain stability will continue.

The battle for Uttar Pradesh continues as political parties strategize for upcoming elections, while BJP consolidates its position in the state through key electoral victories.
