PCIM&H Successfully Observes Hindi Pakhwada with Cultural Events and Competitions: 2025

New Delhi: The Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) successfully observed Hindi Pakhwada from September 14 to 29, 2025, at their office premises. The observance coincided with Hindi Diwas and the Fifth All India Rajbhasha Conference held at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Three personnel from PCIM&H participated in the inaugural event, underscoring the organization’s commitment to promoting Hindi as a Rajbhasha (official language).

Cultural and Competitive Activities

Throughout the fortnight, PCIM&H organized multiple Hindi competitions catering to both Hindi and non-Hindi speakers. These included Essay Writing, Hindi Dictionary Knowledge (for Administrative & Technical vocabulary), Self-Composed Poetry, Debate, Rajbhasha Antakshari, and Encouragement Awards for Hindi work. These activities fostered enthusiasm for Hindi and enhanced linguistic skills among staff and participants.



Hindi Kavi Sammelan

On September 25, 2025, a special Hindi Kavi Sammelan (Poetry Seminar) was held at the Dhanvantari Auditorium, Pocket-2, chaired by Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director, PCIM&H. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sweta Mohan, Rajbhasha Officer, with Dr. Anupam Maurya facilitating stage proceedings. Eminent poets like Dr. Anju Lata Singh, Shri Raj Kaushik, and Shri Kuldeep Bartaria were felicitated with traditional honors including a Tulsi plant, shawl, and memento. The seminar emphasized Hindi literature’s role in communication, highlighting the language’s simplicity and cultural significance.

Participation and Engagement

Over 110 participants from PCIM&H and the Drug Standardization Research Institute (DSRI) actively engaged in workshops and competitions, showcasing strong interest and dedication across the board for Hindi language promotion.

Closing Ceremony

The fortnight concluded on September 29, 2025, with a ceremony graced by Dr. G.P. Garg, former Chief Chemist of the Ministry of AYUSH. During the event, winners of various competitions received awards and certificates of appreciation. The successful completion of planned activities reaffirmed PCIM&H’s commitment to the proactive use of Hindi in official communication.
