PDUNASS Completes Orientation Training for Newly Promoted Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners: 2025

New Delhi: The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS), New Delhi, recently concluded a rigorous three-week Orientation Training Programme for newly promoted Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFCs). The valedictory session, graced by Shri Ramesh Krishnamurthi, Central Provident Fund Commissioner (CPFC), celebrated the Academy’s role in shaping empathetic, knowledgeable, and citizen-centric leaders in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).

Innovative Curriculum and Holistic Training

The training encompassed a well-rounded curriculum blending domain expertise with behavioural and leadership development:

  • Critical themes included Customer-Centric Approach, Ethics, Compassion in Governance, Landmark Court Judgments, Design Thinking, and Audio-Visual Learning.

  • A pioneering course on “Compassion in Governance,” designed by Shri Sanjay Rai, was introduced—India’s first of its kind—to embed empathy and emotional intelligence in public administration.

  • Interactive methodologies such as case-based learning, outbound experiential training, and team-building exercises complemented classroom sessions.

  • Esteemed faculty from premier institutions like National Institute of Design, National Law University, India Centre for Governance, and V.V. Giri National Labour Institute contributed to the programme.



Leadership Messages and Continuous Development

Shri Ramesh Krishnamurthi congratulated the officers for their strong engagement and emphasized EPFO’s core values of integrity, accountability, and empathy towards over 30 crore subscribers. He also released a series of booklets authored by trainees and highlighted technological advances such as the upgraded Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) platform designed to improve compliance and reduce errors.

Shri Kumar Rohit, Director of PDUNASS, underscored the Academy’s commitment to nurturing compassionate public servants focused on citizen satisfaction and grievance redressal.

Recognitions and Awards

Trainees were acknowledged for their excellence through awards for categories like best classroom performance, contributions to culinary initiatives, reading achievements, outbound training, accomplishments on the iGOT platform, and extracurricular activities including yoga, chess, and sports.
