PIB Proudly Organizes Preventive Health Check-up and Consultation Camp for Safai Mitras and Officials: 2025

New Delhi: The Press Information Bureau (PIB), in collaboration with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Ministry of Ayush, and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, successfully organized a preventive health check-up and consultation camp on 1st October 2025. The camp was held at Shastri Bhawan and the National Media Centre (NMC) as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025, which runs from 17th September to 2nd October.

Integrated Healthcare Services Offered

The camp featured two streams of medical consultation focusing on Ayurveda and allopathy. Ayurveda services at Shastri Bhawan were led by Dr. Rama Kant Yadava and Rajaram Mahto from AIIA, providing comprehensive assessments rooted in traditional medicine. Concurrently, allopathy consultations at the NMC were headed by Dr. Shailesh Kumar and Dr. Ramesh Chand Meena from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Teams comprising consultants and nursing staff from both institutions delivered extensive health check-ups and consultations.



Wide Participation and Leadership Engagement

Over 50 Safai Mitras and more than 200 PIB officials availed Ayurvedic consultations, while approximately 195 officials benefited from preventive health check-ups and consultations at the allopathy camp. Leading by example, Principal Director General Shri Dhirendra Ojha was the first to avail consultation at the Ayush camp, setting a commendable precedent that encouraged staff participation. The camp also highlighted the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, focusing on women’s health and family well-being with significant engagement from female officials.

Recognition of Medical Teams

Ms. Anupama Bhatnagar, Director General, PIB, felicitated the doctors and medical personnel from AIIA and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital with certificates of appreciation, recognizing their invaluable contribution to the health and wellness initiative.
