Pixel 10 Series Set to Redefine Smartphone Experience
The Pixel 10 series is finally here, and Google is ready to showcase its latest lineup at the global “Made by Google” event on August 20 in New York. For Indian fans, a dedicated event is scheduled on August 21, where Google will highlight the newest additions to its flagship family. The series marks the successor to last year’s Pixel 9 lineup and promises major upgrades in design, display, performance, and AI features.
The lineup this year is expected to include four smartphones – Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Each device will carry Google’s in-house Tensor G5 chipset, developed on TSMC’s 3nm process, bringing improved performance, battery efficiency, and advanced AI-powered features across the board.
Pixel 10 Series Design and Display Upgrades
Google has worked to refine the design language of the Pixel 10 series, keeping the iconic visor-style camera bar while making subtle changes to differentiate models. The Pixel 10 is said to introduce a refreshed camera housing, while the Pro and Fold models stay closer to their predecessors in design but with improved build quality.
The display technology is expected to be a major highlight. The standard Pixel 10 could feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Brightness has been significantly improved, reaching 2,000 nits in high brightness mode and 3,000 nits peak brightness.
The Pro models are expected to use LTPO panels with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rates, giving smoother transitions and improved battery efficiency. The Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pro Fold are likely to offer even larger displays with the same high peak brightness, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility.
Pixel 10 Series Cameras: More Power and Flexibility
Google is pushing its camera game further with the Pixel 10 series. The standard Pixel 10 may receive a triple-camera setup for the first time, including a new 11MP telephoto lens, a 13MP ultrawide, and a slightly refined main sensor compared to the Pixel 9.
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are expected to keep the 50MP primary sensor, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto (5x zoom) configuration but with enhanced macro capabilities, allowing sharper close-up photography. A 42MP front camera is also likely to return for high-resolution selfies and video calls.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will carry similar optics but optimized for foldable use, making it one of the most powerful foldable camera phones at launch.
Performance and Hardware in the Pixel 10 Series
All models in the Pixel 10 series will run on the Tensor G5 chipset, the first Google processor manufactured on a 3nm process by TSMC. This promises better efficiency, smoother AI performance, and sustained gaming power.
