PM Modi Criticizes AAP, Unveils Major Development Projects in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticizes Delhi's AAP government as a "disaster"

Breaking News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public meeting at Ashok Vihar’s Ramlila Ground, labeled the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi as an “AAPada” (disaster), accusing it of corruption and mismanagement over the past decade.

In a veiled reference to the alleged opulent expenditure by the former Chief Minister on a luxurious residence, Modi emphasized his commitment to providing homes for the underprivileged, contrasting it with the AAP government’s priorities.

The Prime Minister inaugurated several development projects worth ₹4,500 crore, including 1,675 newly constructed flats for JJ cluster residents at Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the Veer Savarkar College and other initiatives aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure.

Modi asserted that the central government is committed to resolving Delhi’s issues and suggested that a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) victory in the upcoming 2025 assembly elections would address the challenges faced by the city’s residents.

He criticized AAP for allegedly misleading the public and engaging in corrupt practices, urging citizens to choose a government dedicated to genuine development. The inauguration of these projects is seen as a strategic move by the BJP to regain power in Delhi, a city it hasn’t governed for 27 years.
