New Delhi: The Ministry of Ayush is actively participating in the nationwide “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan,” a health campaign spearheaded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to promote women’s health and well-being. The collaborative mission involving State and UT administrations, research institutions, self-help groups, and other partners will drive holistic healthcare access, screenings, and awareness for women and families across India during a 16-day campaign running from September 17 to October 2, 2025.
Comprehensive Health Services and Screening
The campaign will mobilize health check-ups and screening camps targeting non-communicable diseases (NCDs), cancers, anaemia, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, and maternal health services. Ayush-based interventions such as Yoga, Ayurveda consultations, and lifestyle counselling will be deployed, specifically addressing women’s conditions like anaemia and PCOD. Maternal and child healthcare, nutrition and hygiene awareness, and voluntary blood donation drives are core focus areas, with services operating through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, CHCs, and government hospitals nationwide.
Women-Centered Lifestyle, Nutrition, and Wellness
Dedicated kiosks for lifestyle counselling, yoga sessions, mindfulness practices, and Prakriti Pareekshan will promote adoption of healthy routines. Distribution of nutrition kits and home remedies, along with promotions on the use of medicinal plants and herbal teas, are included. The initiative also addresses stress management, bone health, and advocates Ayurveda-based solutions for countering burnout.
States, UTs, and self-help groups will organize rallies, awareness camps in schools, digital and social media campaigns, and panchayat-level events to strengthen community engagement. Daily Ayush health tips, focusing on targeted topics like Anaemia-Free Women, Fit Mother, Stress-Free Women, Herbal Nutrition, and Bone Health, will be shared widely on social platforms.
Integration with Nationwide Campaigns
“Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” runs parallel with the 8th Poshan Maah, ensuring convergence between nutrition, health, and empowerment efforts for women, adolescent girls, and children. Activities include recipe demonstrations, anaemia screening, immunization, menstrual hygiene promotion, and community pledges for voluntary blood/organ donation.
Conclusion
The Ministry of Ayush’s dedicated involvement in the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” underscores a multi-sectoral commitment to women’s holistic health, bridging traditional medicine, nutrition, and modern healthcare. The campaign is poised to create lasting health and empowerment outcomes towards the vision of a healthier, stronger Bharat by 2047.
