The hospital, located in the rural areas of the state, was built with a generous donation from Dr. Sampat Shivangi, an Indian-American doctor who contributed his family’s fortune to make this dream a reality.
Dr. Shivangi expressed his deep gratitude, stating that it is an honor for him that the President of India will officially open the hospital. He shared his pride in establishing this facility in his home district of Belgaum, where he had previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the local medical college. The hospital is part of his long-standing vision to enhance healthcare services in rural Karnataka, providing much-needed access to advanced cancer treatment.
