Raipur: President Droupadi Murmu visited the Lord Jagannath temple in Gayatri Nagar, Raipur, as part of her two-day trip to Chhattisgarh. During her temple visit on Saturday morning, she participated in traditional rituals dedicated to Lord Jagannath and his elder brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra. Murmu prayed for the well-being, prosperity, and progress of the nation and its citizens.
The president was accompanied by Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The chief minister expressed pride in the president’s visit, calling it a momentous occasion for the state. Baghel emphasized that Murmu’s presence held special significance for Chhattisgarh and conveyed the gratitude of the state’s three crore residents.
Murmu’s visit reflects her commitment to engaging with diverse cultural and religious traditions across the country. It also highlights Chhattisgarh’s prominence as part of her official travels aimed at fostering stronger connections with different states.
